OpenQ Launches OpenQ for Salesforce on Force.com

By Sujata Garud, TMCnet Contributor

In an effort to extend its support for healthcare professionals, OpenQ has launched OpenQ for Salesforce on salesforce.com’s Force.com. With the OpenQ for Salesforce, life sciences companies can be easily and effectively connect with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and stakeholders in a compliant way.

Instead of providing a different group of software tools for specific tasks, OpenQ for Salesforce offers a comprehensive app with functionality to identify key opinion leaders; review their professional profiles; and plan, manage and measure the resulting engagement. OpenQ’s data offerings are flawlessly tied to the platform. Force.com is a social enterprise cloud platform for building employee-facing social apps.

In a press release, Ron Huddleston, senior vice president of ISV Alliances at salesforce.com, said, “OpenQ for Salesforce highlights the strengths of our Force.com platform when building social and mobile apps. OpenQ delivers a tightly integrated verticalized solution combining data, workflows, and an intuitive interface while setting a new standard for rapid deployment.”

The OpenQ for Salesforce comes with an in-built comprehensive biographical data, such as affiliation and clinical information. If OpenQ for Salesforce is tied with MobileQ, OpenQ’s innovative mobile solution, it breaks new ground in addressing the social, mobile, and compliant mandate facing pharmaceutical, device and biotech companies.

Jim Zuffoletti, president of OpenQ, said, “Force.com is a fantastic platform – one that offers many advantages to its users. Integrating our industry leading technology and data services with Force.com gives customers the best of both worlds – a social, mobile, and compliant app built on a trusted and powerful platform. We were able to build an app that allows customers to perform critical planning, interact and evaluate activities using processes, manage profiles and workflows, all with built-in compliance protection.”

OpenQ was recently in the news when it announced the release of openIIS 2.5 that provides a broad set of tools to manage the complete IIS lifecycle, from study submission and internal review, to study closeout. openIIS is designed from the ground up to support regulatory compliance in an era of increasing federal scrutiny.
