Five9 Showcases Cloud Platform at Dreamforce 2009

By Kelly McGuire, TMCnet Editor

Call center software provider, Five9 Inc., attended Salesforce.com’s Dreamforce Global Gathering Event 2009 to present the Five9 Adapter for Salesforce.com, an integration built with the Five9 Cloud Computing Platform for call centers.

David van Everen, vice president of product management at Five9, told TMCnet in a recent interview that the system provides Salesforce CRM users across an entire company with greater productivity to access the Virtual Call Center suite as a native application from Salesforce.

With the recent announcement of a partnership with Bluewolf, a leader in agile consulting, in efforts to enable customers to realize improved marketing, sales and customer care processes based on its call center systems in the cloud, Five9’s reaction from the conference visitors was widely positive.

“As the only call center software highlighted by our partner Bluewolf, visitors regarded Five9 as the clear choice for on-demand call center software for Salesforce users,” Van Everen said, adding that many visitors were excited to see the productivity gains enabled by coupling call center capabilities with enterprise CRM, all in the cloud.

What’s more, the announcements made at Dreamforce 2009 meant that Five9’s systems were highly recognized. With Salesforce.com (News - Alert) responding to the growing trend in social networking with the recently released “Sales Chatter,” and the service cloud enhancements, Salesforce.com highlighted at the event that contact centers for B2C companies must include social networks as another channel for customer communications and social management.

“By combining Salesforce for online channels and the integrated Five9 solution for the voice channel, contact centers can ensure that they have a complete 360° view of the customer,” Van Everen said. “A complete view ensures consistent messaging to end-users across multiple communications channels, and higher customer satisfaction by keeping the entire enterprise abreast of the most recent communication with the end customer, no matter which channel was used.”

All in all, Dreamforce 2009, as a forum for Cloud Computing leaders like Five9 to come together with companies that embrace this innovative, growing software delivery model, was a successful show for Five9.

“Many people were interested in the Five9 Developer Program which will allow them to develop and deliver custom call center applications that improve productivity and give them a competitive edge,” Van Everen said, adding that the company’s partner, Bluewolf, is an early participant in the Developer Program.
