That’s right – iQsim has recently added monitoring functionality to its IRON Suite Hosting Services, which will seriously impact the way we think of monitoring utility today. The IRON Suite – iQsim’s flagship product – is a redundant and scalable software architecture aimed at providing mobile call termination and bulk SMS services for networks with up to tens of thousands of SIM cards and GSM/UMTS (News - Alert) ports.
The IRON Suite additionally encompasses a range of SIM Servers products accompanying small to large customers, including the IRON SIM Server One, an all-in-one SIM server with SIM storage, or the traditional IRON Suite, which includes the IRON SIM Manager for SIM control and protection, IRON Call Manager for service control, and IRON SMS Manager for SMS Control.
What can this new functionality do for you, then? For starters, it allows the definition of alert thresholds, based on measurements of six parameters:
- ACD: Average Call Duration (minutes and seconds)
- ASR: Answer to Seizure Radio
- ABR: Answer to Breakout Ratio
- PAC: Percentage of Abandoned Calls
- PSC: Percentage of Short Calls
- PDD: Post-Dial Delay (seconds)
Once a threshold is met, an alert will be generated and will persist until the defined clear threshold has been reached. Take, for example, this SIM Plan level view below for CPM, ASR and PAC. (Also, note the alert window in the lower left-hand corner indicating that the thresholds for ASR, PAC, ABR, ACD, PSC and PDD have been met.
Additionally, this new functionality comes equipped with call-related criteria for monitoring, and defines multiple simultaneous monitoring views or dashboards, providing the analysis and graphical presentation of multiple performance measurements. Not only this, but each user-defined dashboard can present a collection of different measurements based on CDR’s issued by different objects or sources, as defined in multiple levels: Wireless GSM/UMTS Gateway (News - Alert), SIM Plan, Mobile Network Operator (MNO), and Country.
In the coming months, this new advancement will evolve to include monitoring for SMS and additional parameters, and will also be implemented on other iQsim products, such as IRON SIM Serer One and the IRON Suite.
Clearly, the team over at iQsim has its hands full at the moment!
