Founded in 2009, iQsim is the industry leader on the call termination market, providing a SIM server platform with competitive rates and highly reliable services for call and SMS. As the leader in virtual SIM technologies and SIM server platforms, iQsim has experienced a highly successful year worth noting.
The company started this year with a bang, having attended ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2012 located in Miami Florida, fresh from its flagship IRON SIM Server One being recognized with the 2011 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award. In January, iQsim VP of Operations, Marc Lorenzi, sat down with TMC (News - Alert) to divulge his expectations and plans for the highly anticipated, bi-annual event, saying that the company was especially “looking ahead to the M2M market and seeing how we can position our product in the market.”
Also this year, the company revealed its all new SIM card storage rack for call and SMS termination – SIM Rack 256 – which served as the newest member to its existing collection of SIM racks for mobile Quality of Service (QoS) testing and mobile termination.
In other new releases, the company revealed its advanced new QuesCom FS400 Fax and SMS Communication Router – a standalone, plug-and-play solution designed for sending and receiving fax and SMS messages through existing enterprise e-mail clients. The solution was designed to further reduce fax costs and greatly improve the overall customer experience.
“The ability to provide both Virtual fax and SMS communication channel in the same product makes the QuesCom (News - Alert) FS400 attractive as a cost reduction enabler, and a tool to enhance the way the enterprise communicates with its environment,” explained Laurent Lhermitte, iQsim’s VP of Sales. “A simple, plug and play, all-in-one product, makes the QuesCom FS400 an obvious choice for both small and large enterprises.”
In other news this year, iQsim announced that it had acquired QuesCom, a provider of fixed-mobile convergence solutions, for accelerated development, thus positioning it as the European leader in mobile communications routers. In gaining QuesCom, iQsim planned to accelerate its development by targeting new market segments by complementing its product offering with the addition of QuesCom’s well-known, reputable products. With this acquisition, QuesCom’s business operations officially became fully integrated within iQsim, and its products a part of iQsim’s portfolio.
Rounding out this thriving year, the company was this month awarded the 2012 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award for its newly released Mobile Robot. This new open platform, Linux-based SIM server for MNO Quality of Service (QoS) testing serves as part of the company’s Mobile Automaton offering, providing an automated test execution platform for mobile networks. This year’s honorees for the 2012 Product of the Year award were selected based on the most deserving companies that have demonstrated the most vision, leadership and thoroughness, as explained in a statement.
If this isn’t telling enough or iQsim’s success in 2012, than we may never know what is! Furthermore, the company looks forward to an equally successful New Year full of new possibilities and opportunities in the SIM space.
