BLiNQ Networks, Inc. recently announced that it successfully completed two field trials, confirming that their solution is highly reliable, cost-efficient and scalable. Out of the two trials, one trial was conducted with a tier one global mobile operator, and the second with a fixed access provider based in Europe.

The company will demonstrate the solution at the 2012 International CTIA (News - Alert) Wireless conference, scheduled for May 8-10 in New Orleans, LA.

"This is a major milestone for our company,” said Mickey Miller, President and CEO at BLiNQ Networks. “Unlike traditional solutions that are trying to retrofit sub optimized approaches to solve the small cell backhaul challenge, we have designed our solution from the beginning to be flexible, reliable and economically compelling in the demanding small cell backhaul use case.”

“BLiNQ's plug-and-play design and patent-pending interference and spectrum management technology (MARA) is proving to be very attractive to operators by driving down the cost of adding capacity to mobile networks while increasing the scalability and reliability of existing networks," Miller added.

In order to meet the increasing demand from the urban regions, mobile sites are reaching their maximum levels, creating capacity hotspots and coverage dead zones. Because of the high implementation costs and limited feasibleness in certain locations, mobile operators have been unable to scale cell sites rapidly or cost-efficiently using current fiber and microwave backhaul solutions.

The BLiNQ solution provides a highly flexible and effective means for carriers to easily deploy capacity anywhere they want to without any restrictions, and also reuse their valuable access spectrum.

BLiNQ Networks is defining small cell base station backhaul. The company’s NLOS small-cell backhaul solution was specifically designed to meet the requirements of small cell base station deployments. Differing from other solutions, BLiNQ can be deployed anywhere in a matter of few minutes and needs only a single technician and a single truck roll. The solution continually self-optimizes to adapt to the changing environment.

BLiNQ Networks, Inc. is a major provider of wireless backhaul solutions that focus on enhancing mobile broadband services delivery in urban areas.
