Tarana Wireless, a company specializing in small cell backhaul solutions, has launched the AbsoluteAir product line. The new product range is aimed to deliver unmatched spectral efficiency and scalability. The unique combination of features enables AbsoluteAir to deliver the lowest total cost of ownership and truly provides small cell backhaul without compromise.

With the help of backhaul technology, the product can deploy 3G/4G small cells virtually anywhere along with meeting mobile carrier requirements for sustained high capacity in both non-line of sight (NLoS) and line-of-sight (LoS) operation. Advanced signal processing algorithms are used to optimize link performance because the products are able to deliver full data rate on every link despite dense small cell deployments at a range of 2-4km in NLoS, and practically unconstrained in LoS operation.

Nick Marshall, principal analyst, ABI Research (News - Alert), said, “Scaling small cell backhaul in terms of performance and density has been a significant hurdle for vendors but is an essential market need. In order to meet these challenges Tarana has created a new wireless paradigm with their CMP topology.”

The installation and setup of the product is easy. The AbsoluteAir antenna has a 100° aperture that dynamically aligns in no time and further reduces network planning and installation time and effort. There is no need for frequency planning or extensive on-site surveys, industry standard RF planning tools can be utilized to design the small cell backhaul network. AbsoluteAir nodes hardly take 15 minutes to install and start the entire operation. Once power is switched on, the nodes automatically associate to establish the link, and current configuration data is downloaded over the air from the central management system.

Recently, Tarana Wireless was in news when the company announced that industry luminaries who are working closely to help guide the company's success in the market. These individuals are wireless industry experts and thought leaders who bring business and market expertise, broad mobile carrier knowledge, and hands-on experience building successful companies.
