CliQr Technologies recently announced the availability of CloudCenter 2.0, which has been designed with new performance and manageability capabilities for mission-critical enterprise-class cloud computing.
In a statement, Gaurav Manglik, CEO and co-founder of CliQr Technologies, said, "We are very pleased to continue to redefine the cloud migration and management solution landscape with the delivery of CloudCenter 2.0. Our new release intelligently integrates a required and logical combination of features that provide the best in both application migration simplicity and portability along with deep, granular runtime management and optimization. We believe that CloudCenter 2.0 will help businesses see an intelligent path to deploying the many applications waiting to take advantage of the benefits of enterprise-class private, public and hybrid cloud computing."
The CloudCenter vendor edition further defines CliQr's patent-pending CloudCenter enterprise edition with the inclusion of new integrated features to address the needs of businesses leveraging the cloud for the commercial delivery of solutions and services to customers.
Software providers leveraging the vendor edition will now be able to provide their offerings as a cloud-delivered service and will benefit from substantial reduction in operating costs. Additionally, the vendor edition will support development and test environments for the software provider and will enable the setting up of turnkey proof-of-concept environments which will allow customers to try the software offering via just a simple "click."
For service providers, CloudCenter 2.0 vendor edition serves as a complete platform that will allow them to support clients in moving and managing their applications on either private or public clouds. Furthermore, the vendor edition will make it easy for service providers to retain and repurpose intellectual property from one client engagement to another by simply publishing applications and application templates to a repository.
Cloud providers using CloudCenter 2.0 vendor edition will be able to move business applications to their cloud without the need for changing the application and they will be able to introduce new value-add services for their customers. For large enterprises, the vendor edition will provide strong, granular administrative controls for setting-up sub-accounts.
CliQr's CloudCenter 2.0 has been designed with an improved intuitive user interface for simplified management of the lifecycle of one or more applications over one or more clouds while its improved storage management capabilities allows the user to easily move data to, and sync between, clouds via the "drag and drop" functionality.
CloudCenter 2.0 also comes with a new user interface delivering a "heads-up display," which allows a user to monitor health of application performance over private and public cloud environments and supports auto-scaling. Additionally, CloudCenter 2.0 has been designed with VM control, which delivers improved management control over spinning-up and tearing-down VMs. It also drives improved performance of scalable applications and controls critical VM sprawl via the setting up of a policy for automatic application shut down after a certain period of time.
