Spredfast, a social marketing software provider, recently announced that its social media management system has been selected by Caterpillar Inc., a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.
Officials from Caterpillar said the solution from Spredfast will enable Caterpillar to further improve coordination and team collaboration efforts across several internal departments and the extended Cat dealer network.
Social Media Management Systems (SMMS) from Spredfast help enterprise companies manage the enablement of more people, in more places to engage in more conversations. The solution includes a module for hosting Facebook (News - Alert) applications delivered to customers via a managed service model that is sized appropriately for the enterprise. This service allows companies to ensure quality of all tab apps deployed on Spredfast, as well as the integrity of the data being fed back into the engagement platform.

Some of the enterprise and agency adopters on board with Spredfast include AT&T, Jason's Deli, Warner Brothers, Whole Foods Market, AARP, AGAIN Interactive, Coty Beauty, HomeAway and WCG.
