When you need a communications platform that meets mission-critical requirements, REDCOM (News - Alert) provides you with the solutions that perform in the world's most challenging environments. REDCOM is a developer and manufacturer of the world’s most reliable digital and IP-enabled telecommunications systems, including softswitch, SIP trunking, secure communications and media gateway.
For emergency communications, REDCOM offers maximum interoperability for emergency responders, integrated TDM and VoIP in a single platform, the complete solution for transportable communications, rapidly deployable emergency command and control center, and REDCOM’s tough, transportable Transportable Communications Package (TCP).
In emergency situations, where dispatcher performance is crucial to establishing effective command and control communications (C3 (News - Alert)), REDCOM provides the Link Command System. A GUI package that offers call control and handling capability, the LCS provides dispatchers with a complete, user-friendly overview of their network.
Using a standard PC, the Link Command System allows the operator to intercept calls, and manage conference bridges, directory requests and incoming call queues.
REDCOM LCS is a Java-based attendant console application. The console operates on a protocol that runs over Ethernet between a REDCOM switch and a computer. Any standard phone, speakerphone, headset or softphone can be attached for answering calls.
A standard phone will interject DTMF tones into a call when necessary. The LCS provides the operator with an interface for starting, monitoring and controlling conferences.

REDCOM communications platforms are designed to perform under the most challenging environments—from the intense humidity of tropical islands and the searing heat of the Sahara to the frigid temperatures of the Arctic. The platforms support a full range of international interfaces and protocols, offering you the ability to match regional communications technology.
REDCOM also provides a simple user interface, allowing fast and easy upgrades, alterations and configuration changes to be made in the field.
Solutions equipped with REDCOM’s TRANSip technology suite provide much more than first-generation softswitches by integrating VoIP and TDM call management, media gateway services, a media gateway controller and other important features. REDCOM transportable solutions offer all the benefits of IP while preserving the functionality of existing TDM telecom infrastructures.
REDCOM and TLC Solutions have teamed up to “cut the wires” by combining the technologies of REDCOM’s SLICE 2100 and TLC Solutions’ Portable GSM Network, creating a self-contained switching system, designed to serve as the communications hub for a Rapidly Deployable Emergency Command and Control Center (RDEC3). The RDEC3 is a small, fully-specified GSM/softswitch solution that can provide the features found in today’s commercial PBXs and GSM networks, including voice calling, SMS, GPRS/EDGE data, handovers and mobile authentication.
Its TCP, used by emergency responders around the world, offers multiple packaging options that combine a REDCOM communications platform integrated with other communications equipment including fiber drivers, routers and Ethernet switches.
Featuring a modular cabling system in a highly durable, shock and weather resistant case, the TCP is easily deployable for disaster recovery and emergency services operations.
The softswitch provider also offers solutions for telecom providers, government and defense and utilities, mining and exploration. Its global customer base and diversified product lines provide the proper balance of markets to ensure business, economic or technological changes do not significantly affect financial strength and profitability.
