Cassidian Communications announced that both new VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 NG9-1-1 communications systems will be made available to the general public. The VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 systems offer Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) call handling with advanced Cassidian Communications call control technologies. This innovative system can be used to set a new level for 9-1-1 call processing inside today’s Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs).
In a statement, Jeff Wittek, Chief Strategic Officer of Cassidian Communications said “The 4.0 user interface is a primary building block within Cassidian Communications’ next generation integrated, multimedia geospatial platform. This platform is a foundational component of our next generation public safety communications ecosystem, which encompasses call routing and call processing, mapping, MIS and analytics, emergency notification, P25 land mobile radio and LTE (News - Alert), and crucial managed services like real-time monitoring and response.”
The core VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 systems is based on an advanced and highly configurable desktop user interface (UI) that has been specially designed to provide 9-1-1 call takers a higher and intuitive user experience. The 4.0 user interface has room for multiple layouts and workflows, and also comes with an advanced dial directory that enables it to offer top class contact management and dialing control.
Both the VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 next generation 9-1-1 call processing systems provide customers with cost-effective scalability, as well as innovative and cutting edge call-taking capabilities, giving PSAPs the option to deploy 250 call takers.
Bob Freinberg, CEO of Cassidian Communications said “Just as important as having the right tools and technologies at your fingertips, is having a trusted partner in public safety communications at your side. Our VESTA 4.0 and Sentinel 4.0 systems are passionately designed to keep people connected when it matters most, and the entire Cassidian Communications team stands ready to assist when, as our mantra reflects, CRITICAL MATTERS.”
