Unified Security Firm Cyberoam Signs System Integrator Partnerships

By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer

While the Internet can bring us all kinds of wonderful advances, one of the main negatives of its continued growth is the ease in which someone can commit identity theft and other kinds of fraud against us. Cyberoam is one of the leading companies in the world when it comes to unified threat management. The company understands that there are all kinds of ways to rip a person off using the internet these days, from stealing who they are to simply breaching their firewalls.

Cyberoam (News - Alert) was recently found to be one of the beat cyber security companies in the world and so the expansion the company is undertaking now bodes well for sub-Saharan Africa (the area they are focusing on.) The expansion is based on partnerships the company has managed to forge with local system integrators like Netology, System5 and FFG in that area.

Lynton Lubbe, who is the Cyberoam channel manager for the sub-Saharan Africa region, says that the addition of this channel is due to the huge demand for a unified threat management presence. Lubbe added that “The South African security market is growing. Cyberoam is looking to hire more local staff to strengthen our African presence.”

Lubbe also noted that the small and medium enterprise and education markets are some of the fastest growing in SA and they are going to need even more attention from companies like his in the very near future. The way Cyberoam will go about taking advantage of this new interest is by finding more system integrators and selling to end users. The company is always looking to drive the channels in local markets and develop the company brand in SA and elsewhere, according to company officials.

Managing director of Netology Darryl Maroun said that, “We are very excited about the partnership, and together with Cyberoam, we will go beyond the established markets to a much broader audience. This will help us consolidate our position as the preferred security choice of the market.”
