vCom Solutions announced that it has launched a new version of vManager 4.2, its Telecom Expense Management (TEM) software. vCom’s Telecom Management as a Service (TMaaS) solution is a suite of cloud-based telecom management software tools, including a full portfolio of professional services.
vCom helps enterprises manage their entire telecom lifecycle by helping them control their inventory, expenses and carrier relationships. This kind of business intelligence increases the efficiency of customers.
Also, vCom helps customers gain carrier-agnostic, wholesale buying power so that they can benefit from lower prices for carrier services. vCom offers a transparent view of telecom services and activity via its cloud-based vManager application.
In a release, officials explained that customers will benefit a lot as they receive only one bill for all services that they access across the country. Besides vManager software, vCom provides assistance in the form of a professional services team specializing in the telecom lifecycle.
The new version of the vManager 4.2 release features a system to provide electronic approval of service orders thereby hastening the procurement process and automating a manual process. Also the provision of a “View-Only Access” security option read-only access to some users.
Users benefit from a “Contract History” feature, where they can view full contract history on a particular inventory item including historical signed contracts. User efficiency is improved due to greater flexibility allowed in naming locations.
Further, the vManager software gives a consolidated view of expenses to clients encompassing all wireline and wireless services and carriers. It is also a central repository of information which can be leveraged to analyze and manage the client’s telecom environment.
A user of vManager, Mark Hanby, senior manager of IT for Workflow said, “We use vManager to find out how and where we’re spending money, and to allocate it back to our individual cost centers. We also use the analytics to see how we can further reduce our spend.” Workflow is a provider of print management, marketing and distribution services in North America.
In early April 2012 vCom Solutions announced that Dechert, an international law firm, has partnered with vCom to gain carrier-agnostic, wholesale buying power and benefit from a view into all of their telecom services and activity via vCom’s cloud-based application.
