Today, most companies and government agencies depend on computer networks to store and manage their data. So it’s important for them to secure those networks from unauthorized threats. Many corporations, educational institutions and government agencies are using Virtual Private Network (VPN), a network technology to create a secure network connection over a public network.
In order to help organizations to maintain the security of their computer and network resources, Etelesolv, a Canada-based telecom and IT management company, has announced a new functionality of its software platform Telemanager, which helps companies track and manage VPN tokens.
The company has adapted to cater its client needs and telecom expense management (TEM) offerings that encompass far more than just bill auditing and invoice processing today. The convergence of IT and telecommunications has led to the integration of telecom expense management with IT.
Etelesolv’s Telemanager, an all-in-one management solution, helps organizations run their telecom network and all of their IT like a business by tracking the ownership and utilization of all their assets.
Etelesolv help businesses optimize the use of these new technologies. Its software platform can manage more than 80 different asset types. It identifies unauthorized or inactive usage by its “last use” time for example, enables managers and employees alike to determine if the tokens are still active or should be disconnected.
“Many organizations are now leveraging TEM solutions to improve the management of other areas of technology beyond telecommunications” said VincentParisien, vice president, research and development of Etelesolv, in a statement. “Companies can now enforce policy and increase security, track assets and employee movements. With these developments we are leading a shift in our industry; our solution will offer a centralized dashboard to manage IT and Telecom services and assets.”
Etelesolv’s Telemanager offers companies with a reporting capability for VPN tokens activities by collecting the usage statistics from the VPN server and this information is then delivered to managers and employees through the user portal.
