Etelesolv, one of Canada's major players in telecom and IT management, has entered into a contract to manage the telecom expenses of Helios Group. As part of the pact, Etelesolv will provide Helios Group with control over all of the organization’s wireless spending.
“The Energy Service Management sector is seeing great return on telecom expense management strategies. As it continues to leverage new technology to grow, the control of telecommunication costs has a positive impact on the bottom line,” said Christopher Thierry, president of Etelesolv, in a statement.
“I am very proud to count Helios Group as one of our new clients in 2013,” said Thierry.
Etelesolv offers Telemanager to companies operating within Canada and internationally. Telemanager’s platform integrates client information with electronic invoicing from multiple telecom carriers to create a supply chain integration that ultimately reduces costs for the organization.
Officials with Etelesolv said that taking advantage of Etelesolv Telemanager’s dashboard, employees will now be empowered to access cost and usage data by department and will be alerted of any and all potential savings opportunities, namely when services are no longer needed. These features enable a timely monitoring of wireless expenses at all levels.
Company officials said that this new visibility will provide a clearer picture of Helios Group's telecom spending trends and enforce the implementation of rule-based controls to save money.
TMCnet in August reported that Etelesolv announced that its Telemanager solution had been selected by a Canadian engineering and construction firm to manage its wireless devices.
Telemanager is a Wireless Expense Management (WEM) solution designed to helps companies manage their wireless assets and services. The solution is described as bringing Service Management and Asset Management together to provide an end-to-end telecom and IT management solution.
It aims to help companies maintain an accurate account of their resources and assign services and devices to specific employees, departments and divisions.
According to Etelesolv officials, users can activate, decommission, store and reallocate inventory with the click of a button, and can construct in-system product catalogs of approved devices and services, as well as generate approval flows and send work orders automatically.
