Managing wireless, voice and data environments at a much-reduced risk and cost is getting more challenging these days. It requires an accurate real time inventory, which can look for overcharges through a telecom audit, search for contract violations, optimize an environment to save money, and negotiate with vendors for a better deal.
As days roll on, the list of gadgets hitting the market is going to get longer and every business will need the right tools and technology which can help them work out the complexity. These point clearly to a rising need for automated TEM processes, whether in-house or outsourced. There are several reports that have clearly shown that those with a TEM program save 22 percent more than companies that do not have one.
Valicom is a company that has consistently been a specialist in telecom expense management and telecom audit services.
The company’s new whitepaper, TEM in 2014: History and Trends, offers some clues on such services. The paper is a brief overview of the telecom expense management industry, where it came from, where it stands now, and trends for the future. The whitepaper is aimed at anyone who wants to learn more about telecommunications management and how it is evolving as the telecom landscape shifts and matures.
“As the telecom environment gets more complex, visibility and control have never been more important to managers in making smart business decisions,” said Jeff Poirior, president and chief operating officer at Valicom. We wanted to offer a succinct overview of TEM and why it continues to be critical to a business success.”
The paper covers a variety of trending topics, all of which will impact telecom environments, including: Does BYOD save money? What security concerns is it raising? How is the employee vs. employer privacy battle playing out? These are questions worth exploring for those in the business.
