NEI Looks to NEBS Standards When Trying to Rid Platforms of Deployment Obstacles

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

NEI (News - Alert) is continuing to redefine application deployment by using its vast expertise and knowledge of ATCA, NEBS and DC powered servers to help simplify the design, integration and deployment problems associated with platforms.

These platforms offer a broad selection of expansion slots and I/O options that are needed when installing high-end telephony boards, high-performance multi-core processors and high-reliability features like RAID and redundant power. NEI also boasts multiple years of experience in the development process for ATCA systems and because NEI is currently an executive member of PICMG 3 standards body, the company has the insider information required when reviewing the ATCA design and integration requirements—including power and thermal requirements for high-end communications blades.

NEI offers multiple platforms that were created with the ability to handle all the functions needed to address the increasing enterprise demands for communications and security applications such as: IP PBX (News - Alert) solutions, recording, VoIP and media gateways. NEI’s open-standards platforms are able to handle all issues related to power, cooling, redundancy and expansion. Low profile medium-density and ultra-dense platforms available through NEI offer a high level of reliability that can support telephony card integration.

NEI uses its technology expertise and best practices methodologies in order to fully and successfully manage all aspects of a communications platform. Through partnerships with industry leaders such as Intel, RadiSys, Kontron, GE Fanuc, AudioCodes, Dialogic (News - Alert), and Znyx, NEI has the ability to design “Best-in-Class” solutions that can meet the harsh carrier requirements in ATCA, NEBS and DC power. By partnering with Microsoft (News - Alert), MonteVista, RedHat and rPath, NEI can enhance all solutions and services they offer, in order to offer greater flexibility and deployment options.
