Eltek Valere Debuts NEBS-Certified Flatpack2 HE Rectifier Series

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

It’s no secret that telecom networks require a great amount of electricity. In fact, the Eltek Valere (News - Alert) website states that millions of kilowatts hours are wasted in these networks, mainly because of low efficiency power conversion.

Of course, this has a huge economic and environmental impact. A supplier to the telecom industry, Eltek Valere has just launched the Flatpack2 HE rectifier product line, which boasts increased reliability and an all new design to offer a high efficiency product. The NEBS-compliant product offers conversion efficiency up to 96.5 percent, thus reducing the amount of wasted energy by 50 percent in comparison to the current industry standard, a press release stated.

The Flatpack2 HE rectifier will dramatically alter the amount of power utilized within global telecommunications operations, as well as the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere. According to the release, because a much reduced amount of energy and heat needs to be used in order to power this product, the Flatpack2 HE rectifier also greatly drive down operational costs.

The Flatpack2 HE Series of High Efficiency Rectifiers has the functionality to offer 24VDC@75A, 48VDC@40Amps and 48VDC@60Amps and AC input voltage range of 85-300VAC. In addition, all models are CE-, UL- and NEBS-certified.

Not only is this product NEBS-certified so organizations can rest assured that their equipment will survive even the most disastrous environment, but now it can help to leave a much reduced carbon footprint benefiting not only businesses, but the planet at the same time.
