As the growth of ATCA continues, Radisys Corporation has remained at the forefront as a provider of embedded wireless infrastructure solutions and a partner of telecom platform deployment provider NEI (News - Alert).
Recently, IT services provider C2Tech chose Radisys’ 40G AdvancedTCA platform for future product lines, doubling the performance of its deep packet inspection deployments for traffic monitoring and policy enforcement functions.
"We selected Radisys for the company's application knowledge and expertise in dealing with these highly scalable systems where packet processing and load balancing are vital to our project success," said Dr. Ismail Uzun, director of software engineering, C2Tech, in a press release.
Operators use DPI and policy charging as well as enforcement functions to monitor, meter and charge for services. Radisys' ATCA platforms and application software provide TEMs with the highest performance, most scalable DPI solutions currently available.
C2Tech's network of aggregated systems currently uses Radisys' 10G ATCA platform and purpose-built load balancing and application software to analyze and process hundreds of gigabits per second of traffic. By combining cutting-edge switching, packet processing and general purpose central processing units, the 10G ATCA platforms create one of the world's largest DPI deployments.
Officials said that Radisys' ATCA platforms can scale to more than 160 Gb/s per chassis, and that by combining multiple chassis at single or multiple Point of Presence or other aggregation points in the network, these solutions can scale to one terabyte per second or more.
