Ixia (News - Alert), a provider of NEBS-certified telecom platform deployment solutions, has revealed that Ixia Anue NTO has been tested to improve the performance of critical application performance management, and security and network performance monitoring solutions.
Benchmarking was performed by The Tolly Group (News - Alert) on the Anue Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) 5293 and the Anue NTO 5288. These tests confirm the accuracy and line-rate performance of Anue NTO carrier-class and enterprise network monitoring switches.
Anue NTO 5293 and NTO 5288 allow data center teams to filter and direct data from multiple visibility ports to multiple tools using an intuitive management interface. The latest Anue NTO 5293 is NEBS Level 1-certified, with NEBS Level 3 certification in progress. It is based on Anue NTO 5288, which is designed to help large enterprises monitor the increasing number of 1G, 10G and 40G ports with existing monitoring tools.
"Service providers and enterprises face extreme pressure to preserve high network performance while trying to satisfy demands for increased network bandwidth," said Kevin Tolly, founder of the Tolly Group. "To meet these challenges, data center teams require sophisticated and expensive network analysis gear coupled with a solution that optimizes the use of these network tools."
Anue NTOs can aggregate data from multiple visibility points to guarantee the delivery of critical network traffic to essential monitoring and security tools. In telecom platform deployment scenarios, they provide complete visibility into physical and virtual networks.
The solution provides zero loss of performance when aggregating and filtering traffic from up to 63 10GbE network ports to a single 10GbE tool port or 15 40GbE to a 40GbE port. It delivers line-rate system throughput of 640 Gbps with zero dropped packets using either 64 10GbE ports or 16 40GbE ports.
"Our customers depend on the Anue NTO to work flawlessly to improve the accuracy and efficiency of a wide variety of application performance management, security and network performance monitoring tools," added Keith Cheney, vice president of network visibility solutions for Ixia.
"We built the Anue NTO 5293 and 5288 to overcome the challenge of performing in high-speed, high-density networks, such as 4G LTE (News - Alert), and we're proud to announce that the Tolly Group validates our efforts 100 percent," Cheney concluded.
