Radisys Corporation, a provider of ATCA-based embedded wireless infrastructure for telecom platform deployment, has just revealed that TMC (News - Alert), an integrated media company, has recognized its products with 2012 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award.
The products that have won this prestigious recognition include its 40G and RMS-220 network appliance that have driven exceptional innovation within the wireless industry. The award also confirms the company’s commitment to advancing IP communications technologies.
Radisys’ ATCA-based telecom platform deployment solutions are used in a wide variety of 3G & 4G / LTE (News - Alert) mobile network applications. Some of the applications found within the company’ robust portfolio include radio access network (RAN) solutions; conferencing and media services including voice, video and data; and customized mobile network applications that support the aerospace, defense and public safety markets.
The company’s IP Media Server and COM Express platforms, coupled with world-renowned Trillium software, services and market expertise enable customers to bring high-value products and services to market faster with lower investment and risk.
"It is with pleasure that we recognize Radisys with two Product of the Year Awards. The editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY have verified that the Radisys T-Series 40G ATCA Platform and the Radisys RMS-220 Network Appliance display quality and innovation while providing solutions to real business communications challenges," said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO of TMC, in a statement.
Telecom equipment manufacturers (TEM) and network operators are always trying to increase profitability while driving improved customer experience, thus they need to optimize bandwidth while monetizing the network. The T-Series 40G ATCA Platform and RMS-220 Network Appliance does just that and can easily address the demands arising from data deluge.
The T-40 assists operators in increasing service profitability by delivering a 50 percent cost-per-bit reduction over 10G systems which in turn powers high performance solutions for next generation infrastructure needs.
"We are pleased to receive these industry awards and the accompanying recognition for our team's ingenuity in delivering innovative products that solve our customers' network challenges," commented Manish Singh (News - Alert), chief technology officer, Radisys, in a statement.
"Winning awards for both the T40 and the RMS-220 is a testament to Radisys' success in providing comprehensive support to network operators and telecom equipment manufacturers during this pivotal time for the wireless industry," Singh added.
Operators are increasingly turning to DPI-based and network monitoring applications such as policy enforcement, lawful intercept security and network probe to improve bandwidth and Radisys' RMS-220 is touted as being the first network appliance that enables TEMs to better address the unique requirements of deep packet inspection (DPI) and networking applications.
