PortaOne (News - Alert), the maker of the PortaSwitch VoIP call control/subscriber management platform, is partnering with value-added managed services provider NewTelco to deliver custom colocation and server solutions to PortaSwitch customers.

NewTelco will pre-configure the turnkey, carrier-grade colocation and/or bundled hardware solutions for PortaSwitch customers who would want it for their infrastructure. Customers also have a choice between rental and purchase alternatives, with installation provided at no additional charge.

According to PortaOne, PortaSwitch is built around a comprehensive converged billing software system and includes a class 4-5 SIP softswitch with media application servers. It provides access to the complete C5 hosted IPPBX/IP Centrex functionality and wide feature set for calling card and VoIP wholesale businesses.

When working over NewTelco’s infrastructure, PortaSwitch can be tweaked to become a high-end platform for telecom services, the company explained. VoIP carriers can employ it to offer a range of business models, quickly and flexibly because of PortaSwitch’s capability to deliver complete call control, routing, proxying and converged VoIP billing functions.

NewTelco stressed that it has worked diligently to offer PortaOne customers not only customized hardware bundles, but also full-service collocation, including power, Internet access, interconnections and remote hands.
