NEI Schedules Q2 Results Call for April 29

By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor

NEI, a provider of appliances and services for software developers and OEMs, will announce financial results for its fiscal second quarter, the period ended March 31, 2010, on Thursday, April 29, 2010, prior to the market open.

Following the release, Canton, Mass.-based NEI management will conduct a conference call at 10 a.m. ET to discuss the company's operating performance. Company officials say management also anticipates providing the financial outlook for its quarter ending June 30, 2010.

The conference call will be available live via the Internet by accessing the NEI web site at www.nei.com on the investor relations page.

To listen to the conference call via phone, dial 1-877-407-9039 or 1-201-689-8470. For those who cannot access the live broadcast, a replay will be available by dialing 1-877-660-6853 or 1-201-612-7415, entering account number 3055 and entering the passcode '349412' from three hours after the end of the call until 12 p.m. on May 6, 2010.

The archived webcast will also be available at the NEI web site.

Last month TMC's (News - Alert) Anil Sharma reported that NEI introduced the E-4000 R4 high-performance enterprise communications platform. Officials with NEI said that E-4000 R, which is built for converged communications and telephony applications, offers a combination of dual processors, quad-core processing, high availability, scalability and telephony card integration in a 4U footprint.

According to company officials, the system integrates telephony-specific capabilities and validation testing to allow for more rapid time-to-market for high-density applications in a scalable, rack-mountable system.

The E-4000 R4 supports up to five telephony boards, providing capabilities for up to 20 T1/E1 digital network interfaces, 60 analog loop-start points, 300 station tapped lines, or a virtually endless combination of interfaces, loop-start ports, and tapped lines.

Company officials pointed out that the new E-4000 R4 features a quad-core Intel Xeon 5500 processor for high-performance application requirements, and supports up to 96 GB DDR3 memory, six PCIe slots, and redundant hot-swap 800W AC power supplies for maximum reliability.

"NEI's extensive industry experience and solid understanding of enterprise communications requirements enables us to design best-in-class solutions for our customers," said Jeff Hudgins, vice president of marketing at NEI, in a statement.
