New Zealand-Based Network Security Provider Chooses NEI as Hardware and Logistics Partner

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

NEI, a provider of application platforms and lifecycle support services for software developers, OEMs and service providers worldwide, announced that New Zealand-based cyber security solutions provider Endace has selected NEI as its hardware and customer logistics partner.

Endace provides high performance traffic analysis, latency measurement, network security and application acceleration solutions that capture, inspect and report on every single data packet up to 40Gb/s, company officials said.

As part of this announcement, Endace utilizes NEI's Global Logistics and Rapid Responses and replacement services to enhance its network security solutions.

Endace has chosen NEI'sS-3000 R2 server solution as its primary packet capture and analysis appliance. S-3000 R2, according to company officials, provides maximum uptime at high network speeds.

With S-3000 R2, Endace's security monitoring solutions can evaluate 100 percent of network traffic at speeds up to 40 Gigabits per second, the company said.

The relationship between NEI and Endace delivers "highly effective cyber security solutions that protect against threats previous solutions could not see," according to company officials. At the same time, NEI enables Endace to provide rapid customer service within the company's newly announced tiered customer support program.

As part of the support and service programs, NEI provides Endace's customers with global logistics services and fast parts replacement, including complete shipping and tracking, and Advance Server Replacement or "ASR" service, the company said.

As Endace's shipping agent, NEI also handles the entire fulfilment process, from certification and export documentation through to direct shipment to Endace end customers worldwide.

"The rapid growth in our systems business, coupled with our requirement to offer our customers a world-class level of support on a global basis, led us to NEI," Mike Riley, Endace CEO, said.

NEI'svolume production expertise, sophisticated QA systems and processes, and comprehensive support logistics are tightly aligned to the scaling requirements of Endace's growing customer base, Riley added.

The company has also gained the expertise to handle complex builds which may, for example, involve multiple SKUs on a single platform type, according to Riley.

"NEI's technology expertise and support services offer solution providers like Endace a more complete solution for application development and scalable deployment," Jeff Hudgins, vice president of marketing at NEI, said.  "When coupled with solutions like the S-3000 R2 server, our lifecycle management services help customers ensure that their solutions are fully supported - and that immediacy of response is guaranteed."

Earlier in February NEI announcedthat Technology Marketing Corporation's or "TMC (News - Alert)" INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine has named the company's E-2710 DC-powered server as a recipient of its 2009 Product of the Year Award.
