Elisa (News - Alert), a Finland provider of telecommunications and ICT services, caters to around 2.2 million customers that include public administration organizations. When the company realized that it was in desperate need of an efficient yet easy-to-use unified performance management solution, it looked no further than the APG software powered by Watch4net.
Elisa required unified performance monitoring and service level reporting that could simply be used throughout all operations and decided to utilize the Watch4net APG software to compile Elisa's performance measurements and events into a single platform. The solution will provide centralized multi-tenant portal and performance analysis on the converged IP and MPLS networks, cable/DSL broadband networks, wireless/mobile environments, as well as their data-center/cloud infrastructures, according to a press release.
“Armed with this critical information, Elisa specialists can more proactively identify performance degradations, capacity problems, and service-level violations across the infrastructure” said Sami Komulainen, vice president of network management of ELISA, in a statement.
Through seamlessly integrating this unified performance management solution, Elisa was able to completely monitor and fully manage its system in much less time than in previous situations.
“APG delivers strategic value to services providers like Elisa”, Harald Mueller, vice president of sales EMEA of Watch4net added. “APG’s flexibility and scalability is the perfect solution for them to ensure the quality of services delivered and reduce the total cost of ownership.”
Watch4net APG’s increased scalability has helped Elisa to continue to expand, allowing the technology to continue to grow alongside the business.
Recently, Watch4net signed a reseller agreement with NetBoss Technologies, Inc., a supplier of network management software and service assurance solutions. With this new partnership, the Watch4Net solution will be integrated within the NetBoss XT platform, enabling NetBoss customers to leverage Watch4net’s unified performance and SLA management solution for next generation multi-service networks.
