Actuate (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of unified performance management solutions based on open source Business Intelligence (BI) and BIRT has revealed that it has signed a partnership agreement with QC Soft, an Italian document management solutions and services specialist. The collaborative effort will help to expands the company’s footprint in Southern Europe, enabling it to address local document management requirements through appropriate solutions, local knowledge and convenient sales channels.

Actuate business intelligence solutions transform enterprise information into intelligent content, optimizing companies' ECM investments. QC Soft, which has a presence throughout Italy, delivers thorough analysis, consulting and support services. The partnership allows Actuate's Xenos Group to tap into QC Soft's expertise in sectors such as utilities and finance, and its team of experts based in Milan, Rome and Naples.

As an outcome of this partnership, Actuate will launch its Xenos Enterprise Output Management solution in Italy and QC Soft will gain access to the company’s complete suite unified management products, complemented by marketing, communications, technical and sales support. This will increase market opportunities and growing revenues for both parties.

Actuate is the innovator behind the Eclipse BIRT open source project. ActuateOne is a unified suite of products for rapidly developing and deploying BIRT-based custom Business Intelligence applications and information applications.

Back in September, Actuate announced that several of its customers are saving a large amount of money on their Actuate Performance Management deployments. Delivered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) offering, the solution offers unprecedented flexibility, lower cost of ownership and faster time to value delivering actionable performance insight to everyone in the organization, company officials said.
