SightSpeed (News - Alert) Inc., fresh off being honored by PC World with a “100 Best Products of 2007 Award,” has announced a partnership with Network Optimiser Solutions Ltd. (NetOpt), an integrator and distributor of business security and communications solutions doing business in Australia and New Zealand.
Under the terms of the agreement, NetOpt will market SightSpeed’s personal video services there to consumers and small to medium-sized businesses.
Said SightSpeed CEO, Peter Csathy, “Working with NetOpt offers SightSpeed an excellent opportunity to further expand our services internationally.”
SightSpeed, is well regarded and has won numerous accolades for its free voice and video calling service. In addition to the PC World award, SightSpeed has won the Internet Telephony (News - Alert) magazine Product of the Year Award this year as well as the Killer App Magazine Editor’s Choice award for innovation.
In addition to expanding “down under” SightSpeed has also made the news for helping business “go green.”
By using SightSpeed, people can travel less and work from home more. Business users love SightSpeed because it increases productivity, it’s free, and it’s easy to use.
To find a successful case study of a SightSpeed user who manages a business remotely, one need look no further than SightSpeed’s own Csathy.
The CEO lives in San Diego and manages the Northern California office remotely, relying on the SightSpeed VoIP and video services daily to keep in touch with his staff, clients, and partners anywhere in the world.
“Using SightSpeed to connect with people means I’m comfortable working remotely, which I do the majority of the time,” says Csathy. “In fact, I rarely even know where the people on the other end of the call are physically located — I just know that we’re communicating like we were in the same room. That I’m doing my small part to fight global warming and pollution is a great added benefit.”
The SightSpeed solution also enables users to create and post video blog entries as well as offering free unlimited computer-to-computer voice-only calling for PCs or Macs.
To create a top-quality experience for users, SightSpeed will use servers located in Australia, providing a faster response time and eliminating the delay experienced by providers using overseas servers.
