TriNET Systems has announced that its chief executive officer, Ken Archer has been named to the Board of Directors for Glowpoint, a carrier-grade provider of managed services for telepresence and video conferencing.
A veteran of the industry, Archer has more than 30 years of sales channel development and management experience in the telecommunications and information technology industries. Previously, he has worked with prominent companies such as Avaya, Hewlett-Packard (News - Alert), and Microsoft.
Company officials said that he provides "thought leadership" and "insight on various topics," including IP Telephony, unified communications (UC), networking, and contact center applications.
"I look forward to joining the board at Glowpoint (News - Alert) and assisting with the development of its global channel strategy," said Ken Archer.
Glowpoint's suite of advanced telepresence and video communications service solutions empower global organizations to enhance the impact and productivity of their internal and external communications.
Archer thinks that Glowpoint is in a "very exciting position" in an explosive market, and the UC industry stands to benefit from the suite of services that the company has to offer.
Joe Laezza (News - Alert), co-CEO and president at Glowpoint, believes that Archer's experience and knowledge in the UC industry and expertise in sales channel management will add significant strategic value as Glowpoint expands its leadership position in the new generation of video communications.
Archer is expected to officially be nominated to the board of directors after the shareholders meeting scheduled to take place in the month of June this year.
TriNET Systems (News - Alert) is a provider of design, implementation and support services for communication and networking solutions from Avaya, Extreme, Juniper, and Nectar (News - Alert) Networks.
