In connection to this, the company has expanded the responsibilities of Eric Larsen, Senior Director of Sales for RRsat America. The extended responsibilities of Larsen include the development of strong business relationships with major US media organizations and to increase exposure and awareness of RRsat throughout the North American market.

Larsen, who will be based in Los Angeles, comes to RRsat with over twenty-five years of experience in the international television industry, with a particular focus on content aggregation and distribution, marketing, production and operations.

In related news, the company recently announced its partnership deal with BT (News - Alert) to deliver first intercontinental interactive 3d video broadcast between London and Tel Aviv using RRsat global network. The collaboration between BT and RRsat is believed to overcome technical challenges to transmit live 3D video over terrestrial networks.
