What do taxi drivers have to do with a virtual call center? A lot, that is, if the drivers want to explore new opportunities for driving improved customer satisfaction and additional revenues (no pun intended!)
A recent New Straits Times report highlighted the kick off of the TaxiMonger commercialization plan during the organization’s Open Day for Taxi Drivers of Klang Valley. The launch event provided an opportunity for more than 500 taxi drivers to explore the new app and its tie to a virtual call center.
The TaxiMonger app for the virtual call center integrates with value-for-money Android (News - Alert) phones and special data plan packages. The resulting app is expected to improve the taxi industry for customers and taxi drivers alike.
Land Public Transport Communication (SPAD) chairman, Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar officiated the TaxiMonger Sdn Bhd event. Company founder, Nirzan Noordin shared that the app is designed to help taxi drivers to increase daily earnings by leveraging the benefits of the virtual call center.
Access to the virtual call center enables taxi drivers to improve customer service, ensuring that potential riders can connect with the right dispatchers and receive anticipated service levels to ensure satisfaction. As a result, the individual drivers will be able to increase revenues as they provide better service.
Taxi drivers can join the TaxiMonger network for free, and a three-month free subscription was made available for the first 1,000 drivers who registered at the event. The TaxiMonger personal safety featured was also launched that day.
Incorporated from SecQ.me – TaxiMonger’s sister company – the virtual bodyguard, dubbed the TaxiMonger Bodyguard, serves as a personal safety mobile app that can monitor a taxi user during a ride.
A referral program was also initiated by TaxiMonger. The Stick & Win RM100 contest will run until June of 2013, offering drivers a chance to win RM100 if spotted with the TaxiMonger sticker on their side window.
The program was developed in an effort to reward taxi drivers with RM150 in cash for every 10 new drivers who are introduced to and sign up for the TaxiMonger subscription plan. The company’s goal with these initiatives is to sign up at least 5,000 taxi drivers by the end of 2012.
