Bill.com recently released an upgrade, for its on-demand Accounts Payable (A/P) software, to simplify and speed up billing related workflow and process automation. It reduces paper bill handling to a one-time-only event – right at the beginning of the cycle. Thereafter, financial and business approvals, payments and tracking are conducted on-line, one hundred percent paperless, 24x7 and are fail safe. The relatively low cost of service is attractive for businesses ranging from small to very large.
Bill.com, a Software as a Service company (SaaS (News - Alert)), provides secure Web based products, which have built-in fraud protection, document transparency even to A/P and allow audits to be reviewed. The upgrade has a single-click seamless functioning with QuickBooks, a business accounting software from Intuit (News - Alert), thereby synchronizing suppliers and general ledger accounts without affecting any data or procedural integrity.
The “Awesome Add-On for QuickBooks” award, coupled with being acknowledged as a Gold Developer by Intuit, bears testimony to the software’s efficiency.
Another feature is the SmartEntry Account Splits. It enables multiple account entries for a single bill and permits the requisite approvals without duplication. It has the intelligence to recall if prior bills require to be split in any way and organizes default parameters for repetitive functions - for example, similar bills from the same vendor. Bills not requiring approval are immediately scheduled for payment.
Flexibility, intuitive navigation, multiple options at each step, and customization in using the software either as a standalone or in partnership with third party software, further enhance its value.
A strategic alliance with CPA2Biz, a for-profit subsidiary of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), was formed to develop the Bill.com Accountant Program and to provide leverage to a substantial knowledge bank of accountants, CPA’s and bookkeepers who continuously recommend new requirements. Besides signing-up for the program, they also use other Bill.com products for maintaining their client accounts.
