As part of this alliance, Dimension Data (News - Alert) has developed Operations-as-a-Service (OaaS) offerings based on CA Technologies virtualization management, service automation, capacity management, and service assurance solutions to operate cloud infrastructure, company sources said.

Through its OaaS offerings, Dimension Data helps its clients maintain control of service delivery and assure the performance of IT and business services across private, public and hybrid clouds. The offerings are designed to help customers achieve greater business agility, reduce risk, and control costs.

The virtualization management, service automation, and capacity management solutions from CA Technologies help Dimension Data's Asia Pacific clients accelerate IT and business service delivery while simultaneously minimizing cost and risk, company officials said.

The company’s CA Automation Suite for Data Centers enables organizations to simplify, control, and dynamically automate service delivery across heterogeneous physical, virtual and cloud environments while the CA Capacity Manager enables to guarantee service levels to the business, make the right IT investment decisions with confidence, and clearly communicate the cost and value of IT to stakeholders across the enterprise.

This alliance helps the companies pursue growth opportunities in private cloud and application performance management.

In another announcement CA Technologies said it has been recognized by The Computerworld Honors Program as a 2011 Laureate for its participation in TM Forum's (News - Alert) Secure, Federated Service Management Catalyst project.
