GL Communications (News - Alert), a leading supplier of test, monitoring, and analysis equipment for TDM, wireless, IP and VoIP networks, is looking to help better manage any traffic over T1 E1 lines including voice, fax and VoIP.

With its latest release, the T1 E1 Analyzer Software Version 6.07, things like voice peering and signaling will become a lot easier.

“Our T1 E1 Analysis suite of products continue to provide the most comprehensive analysis and emulation capability of any product on the market,” Vijay Kulkarni, CEO of the GL Communications, said in a statement. “Any traffic over T1 E1 lines including voice, fax, modem, signaling, mobile, IP, VoIP, ATM, and more is addressed. We continue to satisfy the requests of each and every customer."

"Our GSM Analyzer has been enhanced with additional decodes: Group Call Control (GCC) and VGCS (Voice Group Call Service) feature for GSM-R (Railway),” he added. “Also Broadcast Call Control (BCC (News - Alert)) protocol for support of VBS (Voice Broadcast Service) feature for GSM-R.”

Moreover, GL Communication’s Windows Client Server (WCS ver 3.30) application has been upgraded with new DSP operators for wideband codec transmission and reception including 16-bit linear codec operations for enhanced analog interfaces. In addition, new features have been added to the GL Client Development Toolkit that will help client applications better monitor TCP/IP Channel Utilization when connecting to server remotely for data intensive applications.

In related industry news, officials at the Voice Peering Factory (VPF), created by Stealth Communications (News - Alert), say there are several advantages to voice peering, and that the best use of the peering technology can result in ROI.

Company officials argue that voice peering can help enable productivity with the new telephony marketplace as it allows your company to "interact with a broad range of businesses." VPF, company officials say, is an environment promoting direct business relationships. Stealth Communications launched the Voice Peering Fabric service in 2003 in New York City. The idea came about during the process of an interconnection between customers in the voice industry. It is a different model than that of the traditional Public Switched Telephony Network. VPF provides the capability to unify communications between organizations in a way never before, according to company officials.
