InfoRelay Expands Equinix Data Center Footprint in Dallas and Fort Worth

IT solutions and connectivity provider InfoRelay Online Systems has expanded its Equinix (News - Alert) data center footprint in the Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, areas to accommodate a significant increase in demand for colocation and high availability data center solutions in the face of a growing cloud services market.

The company’s expanding footprint in Dallas is a direct result of its commitment to having the highest quality service for its customers, said Joseph Vajda, director of Network Operations at InfoRelay.

Located within one of the key telecommunications hubs in Dallas, the InfoMart building, Dallas Equinix data center serves as a key Internet and peering exchange point for many networks.

InfoMart is expected to continue playing a major role in InfoRelay's portfolio as it continues to adapt to the shifting industry landscape and increases adoption of cloud technologies. Company officials said that the 61,573 square foot data center features security and interconnection options.

In addition to Dallas, InfoRelay maintains primary network Points of Presence (PoPs) within multiple markets nationwide, including Los Angeles and Southern California, San Jose and the Silicon Valley area, Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and New York City.

In these markets, InfoRelay provides high availability server collocation and the ability for clients to host their servers in the company’s owned secure server cabinets. Company officials said that each cabinet includes power from redundant UPS and generator-backed power systems, and is cooled by a redundant cooling infrastructure.

The expansion is scheduled to take effect from Nov. 1.

Earlier this year in April, InfoRelay Online Systems released the SnapScale Enterprise Cloud Platform.
