Colo Atl, a provider of carrier neutral collocation, interconnection and data center solutions, unveiled that it has added O1 Communications, a local exchange carrier offering voice peering services to enterprise businesses throughout California, and Telesphere (News - Alert), a provider of managed cloud communications solutions, as tenants at Colo Atl’s facility in Atlanta.

Established in November 2001, the Colo Atl collocation and Meet Me Room (MMR) facility provides O1 and Telesphere with access to its 70-plus tenants and the ability to collocate and interconnect with key customers and service providers. The SAS (News - Alert) 70 Type II certified facility boasts industry standard collocation, data center and interconnection amenities.

The Colo Atl facility enables Telesphere and O1 Communications (News - Alert) to get the vital links that physically connect them to their current customers. They also get opportunity to link to potential customers in an affordable SAS 70 Type II certified facility.

Telesphere Networks delivers an innovative package of Unified Communications (News - Alert) as a Service (UCaaS), including hosted VoIP, Internet connectivity, Web collaboration, messaging and video conferencing services to businesses throughout the United States.  

"Access to Colo Atl's facility in downtown Atlanta is ideal. The redundant power sources, engineering, and customer service are excellent," said Todd Miszner, VP of Finance for Telesphere, in a statement. "Colo Atl's price points, carrier and tenant roster, and location are reason enough to collocate at Colo Atl, but the company also works with us to make sure we've got everything we need to operate smoothly. It's a nice added touch."

O1 Communications offers service providers wholesale VoIP peering solutions, call origination and call termination in California and the domestic US. Small and medium size business voice and data services include MPLS, dedicated and dynamic voice services, high-speed bandwidth, hosting, collocation, managed security, backup/recovery solutions and SIP Trunking.

In another related development in voice peering industry, enterprise communications provider Aastra (News - Alert) announced the launch of the Aastra BluStar client at Enterprise Connect, March 26-29, 2012 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Fla.
