Vera Networks is resolving call issues for operators of VoIP networks and platforms with the release of vCapture service. Technical teams can leverage the new service to accurately target call issue-related session initiation protocol (SIP) signaling data without being in critically sensitive areas of the network infrastructure.

Vera Networks provides cloud-based SaaS (News - Alert) and other managed services along with the sales and support of carrier-grade softswitches.  The company is offering the cloud-based solution on a monthly subscription basis that features an SIP signal capture technology with the ability to record all SIP messaging within a switching network.

In addition to cutting the time required to find the root cause of most VoIP call and interop-related issues, vCapture service offers many benefits such as improving customer response times and reducing related operational expenses.  vCapture service also includes an intuitive interface and protocol-aware searching and filtering capabilities.

"Other call analysis products on the market are typically intrusive, introducing additional points of failure into a network and potentially affecting network performance. Also, these other solutions can cost several hundred thousand dollars, while vCapture is a fraction of the price," said Vera Networks CTO Brian Stone.

Cloud based solutions are gaining traction these days and recently Interact, Inc., launched Nimblevox's cloud communications system, which gives companies the ability to manage, develop and even deploy their applications within the cloud.
