CyberData (News - Alert) has announced the release of a Powered-over-Ethernet (802.3af) device that enables two-way communication in a multitude of settings. The newly released VoIP Talkback Speaker is being currently offered in a SIP-enabled version and Singlewire-enabled version, and will especially attract buyers from the education market.
CyberData is a vertically integrated design and manufacturing company that designs and produces custom products ranging from small run prototypes to full scale production.
Several value added resellers and integrators have shown interest in its Push-to-Talk Talkback Speaker that is ideal for offices and medical facilities. Talkback Speakers are in demand by the customers of both SIP and Singlewire platforms and CyberData has delivered this product after recognizing this need in the market.
“We’re very excited to release this device to the market,” said Phil Lembo, president and CEO of CyberData, in a statement. “It delivers the paging function and clear sound of our traditional speaker, and adds the Talkback function that is needed for environments such as schools and universities.”
Elaborating on the new release, CyberData says that although a call can be placed to the speaker for a two-way conversation, calls to a predetermined extension can be held from the room with the speaker through leveraging a remote call button.
The VoIP Talkback Speaker also has a Monitor Mode function that allows users to make call from a remote phone and monitor the activity in the room in a discrete manner.
Earlier this year, CyberData was in news for forming a partnership with Patton (News - Alert) to provide extra functionality to Patton's SmartNode VoIP Gateway and for Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync users.
