Tekelec, an enabler of people and devices to talk, text and access the Web, announced its participation at the Mobile World Congress 2011. Tekelec claimed that it offers a diverse range of Next Generation Subscriber Management solutions that are uniquely positioned to address the changing telecommunications space and prepare service providers for the future. The Camiant Policy Management product family provides a comprehensive platform for Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) control that lets users deploy business-based policies across heterogeneous broadband networks. The Performance Intelligence Center consists of tools needed to capture network traffic data and convert it into useful business intelligence for troubleshooting, managing traffic, roamers, and services, as well as revenues.
Using Tekelec’s (News - Alert) RAN solution, operators can realize real-time performance and subscriber intelligence required for tweaking network and subscriber policies based on traffic conditions. This result in reduced traffic congestion guaranteed service levels and enhanced transparency. The mobile video solution enhances video content delivery and helps in deploying flexible pricing and service plans.
Susie Kim Riley asserted that this year mobile operators are focused on service innovation to accelerate revenue growth and in particular, optimize their networks for mobile video. Dynamic policy management combined with real-time network and subscriber intelligence will be critical for operators looking to improve network performance and offer personalized services to their subscribers.
