GL Communications (News - Alert), a supplier of test, monitoring and analysis equipment for TDM, Wireless, IP and VoIP networks, has recently announced the availability of its MAPS LTE (News - Alert) for S1 Interface Emulator.
Designed for testing LTE – S1 interface, the GL’s Message Automation & Protocol Simulation is capable of simulating eNodeB and MME.
In a statement, Jagdish Vadalia, senior manager of product development for the company said, “MAPS is also capable of simulating S11 and S5/S8 interfaces. The application gives the users the unlimited ability to edit S1-AP/NAS messages and call scenarios. "Message sequences" are generated through scripts. "Messages" are created using message templates. Possible applications include: Simulate up to 500 Smartphones powering up and down, Authenticate and confirm security procedures, QoS requests for greater or lesser bandwidth, Temporary addressing management for mobility and security.”
GL’s Message Automation & Protocol Simulation supports LTE control plane and generates and responds to hundreds of UE Signaling.
Officials said that MAPS also supports customization of call flows and message templates using Script editor and Message editor. It provides protocol trace with full message decoding, and graphical ladder diagrams of call flow with time stamp.
Generating and processing S1/NAS messages, providing call statistics and associated captured events and error events during call simulation, supporting scripted call generation and automated call reception, offering ready-to-use scripts for quick testing are some of the highlighting features of GL’s MAPS.
Mr. Vadalia further added, “GL also provides a GUI based LTE Analyzer for on-line capture and decode of the signaling in real-time both during tests and as a stand-alone tracer for live systems.”
In related TMC (News - Alert) news, GL Communications recently enhanced its T1 E1 Analysis suite of products, by adding major hardware features and software applications.
