Quickfilter Technologies, a fabless semiconductor company specializing in digital filtering and signal processing, recently released two new software products, ProfoundSound Lite and ProfoundSound CSharp.
Intended for direct downloading by consumers, these software packages allow customers to enhance audio quality in laptop and desktop computers. They also provide high quality audio playback for all PC audio devices from the internal speakers to any speaker attached to the audio ports.
“The ProfoundSound Lite and ProfoundSound CSharp software packages are the first, of what we hope to be several, products targeted directly to the consumer,” said Tony Valentino, Quickfilter Technologies chief operating officer, in a statement. “With these products, the consumer will enjoy an enhanced listening experience from what was traditionally poor sound reproduction in PCs and laptops. Quickfilter Technologies’ dedication to enhancing the entertainment experience is at the core of these products.”
ProfoundSound Lite boasts a rich user interface that is equipped with a 5-band graphic equalizer, multiple presets for music, movies and VoIP, variable surround sound and variable bass, all using the patented ProfoundSound psychoacoustic technology.
The other software product, ProfoundSound CSharp features a rich user interface equipped with a 10-band graphic equalizer, variable loudness, auto sound leveling, variable dynamic surround sound, variable dynamic virtual bass, variable high frequency restoration, a 20-band spectral analyzer, variable dynamic bass and dynamic voice.
Additionally, it has the ability to customize and save consumer-designated settings in order to give consumers ultimate flexibility.
Officials said by utilizing Quickfilter’s innovative TruDynamics processing algorithms, these software packages allow dynamic control of Quickfilter’s Virtual Bass and WideAudio Virtual Surround technologies. They also provide a dynamically controlled voice band, which enhances vocals over a wide range of volume levels.
In related news, Quickfilter Technologies announced a powerful 3-channel audio processor that is designed for seamless insertion into an audio serial digital data path.
