D-Link (News - Alert), a provider of connectivity for home, small business, mid- to large-sized enterprise environments, announced that its mydlink Cloud Service, which includes the mydlink portal and a suite of apps, has topped one million registered users.
mydlink Cloud Services allows consumers and small business to access, view and control Cloud Cameras, Cloud Routers and Cloud Storage devices from anywhere at any time. The users can stay connected to their home networks over the Internet via virtually any computer, iPhone or iPad or Android (News - Alert) device, and supports up to 99 devices per user account.
Cloud Cameras enables users to monitor different areas, Cloud Routers provide next-generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi speeds for uninterrupted video streaming, online gaming and VoIP calling, and the ability to view browsing history.
mydlink mobile apps, which include mydlink Lite for iPhone and iPod Touch and mydlink+ for iPad, are now available on the App Store. The Android versions of both apps are available in Google (News - Alert) Play. Users need to register with mydlink in order to use mydlink-enabled Cloud Camera or Cloud Router devices. Once the devices are installed and connected to the network, they can be configured from the setup wizard on a Windows PC or Mac.
