Phybridge Inc. has partnered with ShoreTel Inc., the leading provider of IP phone systems with fully integrated Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC), to integrate the Phybridge UniPhyer solution with ShoreTel's award winning UC solution.
The patent pending Phybridge UniPhyer is the only networking switch in the world to deliver Ethernet and PoE over a single, traditional twisted pair telephone line with 1,200 foot reach, allowing customers to transform their existing voice infrastructure into an IP network with PoE.
This further reduces the complexity and cost of deploying ShoreTel’s (News - Alert) UC applications, the company said.
Certification means that ShoreTel customers can simplify the transition to IP telephony and eliminate many of the network readiness barriers and challenges in a cost-effective deployment, the company added.
“By offering extremely reliable and scalable solutions that are easy to install and use, ShoreTel enables businesses of any size to seamlessly integrate communications with business processes, creating a more collaborative and productive enterprise regardless of building constraints,” said John Croce, CEO at Phybridge (News - Alert). “ShoreTel's distributed architecture extends enterprise-class voice services to every office and outpost, keeping employees fully connected wherever they go. By teaming with ShoreTel we let organizations enjoy the benefits of ShoreTel UC applications on a reliable converged network that handles both voice and data.”
“ShoreTel is committed to helping customers simplify and reduce the costs of doing business in even the most demanding environment. The Phybridge solution allows customers to easily migrate to a ShoreTel UC solution and adopt modern communication capabilities. The quick, easy, non-disruptive local area network readiness offered by the UniPhyer makes it simple for customers with challenging environments to transition to unified communications while leveraging existing infrastructure and achieving a rapid return on investment,” said Kevin Gavin (News - Alert), vice president of marketing at ShoreTel.
Complementing the existing data network, the UniPhyer allows customers to centrally converge the data network while having a separate physical path for voice, reducing deployment complexities.
With Phybridge and ShoreTel, vertical sectors such as education, healthcare, hospitality and government benefit greatly from ShoreTel’s UC applications while leveraging their existing infrastructure and minimizing LAN costs.
One of the companies benefitting from the interoperability of Phybridge and ShoreTel solutions is Communications Resources Inc. (CRI), a ShoreTel Partner and Value Added Reseller specializing in enterprise-class products including Unified Communications.
“What used to take us days for LAN readiness, only took hours to accomplish with the UniPhyer. We were able to deploy the ShoreTel system much quicker. This is a highly effective solution that allows us to move our customers to IP telephony while eliminating the operational and technical challenges they face with a single network,” said Alan Burdine, president and COO of Communications Resources Inc.
Phybridge brings practical innovations to market that provide customers and partners an easier way to deploy and manage their VoIP installs resulting in reduced total cost of ownership and enhanced return on investment. The award-winning Phybridge UniPhyer allows for an optimized converged voice and data network, enabling the deployment of IP Telephony to be quick and easy with no network or business disruptions. This patent pending solution leverages existing telephony infrastructure to provide Ethernet, PoE and Quality of Service over a single pair with reach of over 1,200 feet.
