Ontario-based Phybridge (

Alert) Inc., offers the “UniPhyer,” a VoIP enabler that company officials say will help businesses to run IP telephony using power over Ethernet and removing the need to have an optimized converged network.
Using the UniPhyer to optimize a network upgrade for voice, video and data convergence, not only cuts down on costs, but also removes the possibility of business and network disruptions.
Business continuity is a key factor that often goes overlooked by businesses. However as businesses rely more and more on technology to run their operations, and as the list of potential network threats grows, it has become an essential consideration.
According to officials with Phybridge, “The only way to have voice continuity regardless of data network health is to have a complete separate physical network carrying voice traffic.”
Because the UniPhyer converts telephony infrastructure into a complete Parallel IP network with Power over Ethernet – it is possible to run IP telephony and greatly reduce LAN readiness costs as well as remove challenges and barriers for customers and providers so they can deliver reliable voice regardless of data network health.
