VOIP Connections, a provider of cloud-based VoIP solutions including VoIP gateways, announced partnership with Wowrack, a datacenter provider based in Seattle, to implement VOIP Connections Mediation Gateway (News - Alert) at Wowrack.
Wowrack runs and operates Internet Data Center (IDC), offering services including Managed Hosting Solutions, Dedicated Server Solutions, Colocation, Virtualization, Bandwidth Delivery and Managed Services.
With Mediation Gateway implementation, customers can now host their Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync environment at Wowrack Datacenters. They will also benefit from services such as ‘dial-in’ conferencing; inbound and outbound calls using the on-premise features of Lync in a Cloud environment, company officials said.
Earlier this year, VOIP Connections announced Mediation Gateway is supporting ‘on premise’ or hosted Microsoft Lync 2010 on Amazon AWS. Now, with its implementation at Wowrack datacenters, Mediation Gateway has proven its flexibility, allowing users to choose the right environment according to their requirements.
“We are excited about this partnership because now we can provide an industry-first Cloud based ‘dial-in’ Conferencing and also inbound and outbound calls from Lync for our Customers without any additional hardware requirements on their part,” said Erward Osckar, VP Wowrack, in a statement.
The Seattle-based cloud VoIP service provider also helps small and medium businesses (SMBs) move their telephone exchange on to the Cloud. The company’s PBX (News - Alert) on the Cloud solution connects multiple offices of enterprises under a single communication network, thereby eliminating expensive hardware and other costs associated with infrastructure.
In another breakthrough announcement, Patton (News - Alert), a provider of VoIP gateways, announced the availability of the SmartNode 4120 Single/Dual-Port BRI VoIP gateway series and the SmartNode DTA Singe/Dual-Port BRI VoIP Digital Terminal Adapter series for ISDN BRI VoIP users and service providers.
SmartNode equipment delivers leading VoIP technology that integrates with existing analog POTS and digital ISDN infrastructures. It also interoperates with all major brands of softswitches and iPBXs making it easy for carriers to deploy future-proof VoIP systems quickly and profitably.
