Vitelity Communications (News - Alert), a privately owned, international voice over IP (VoIP) technology provider, has launched the communications bundle, SIP Enable.
Officials with Vitelity said that the company partnered with Patton (News - Alert) Electronics to develop the product, which enables legacy phone systems, that do not have native SIP capabilities, to now be able to use SIP trunk services from Vitelity.
Company officials pointed out that the systems can integrate the advanced technology into the system in order connect to the Internet and utilize additional features, such as SMS, vFax and global DID origination.
"It's exciting to be able bring our SIP trunking service to systems that it was never intended for," said Chris Hall, CEO of Vitelity, in a statement.
"We're ultimately improving the functionality for the end-user and providing a cost-effective way to integrate this new technology into older systems," said Hall.
Tyler Delin, SmartNode product manager at Patton Electronics said that for those with legacy PBX (News - Alert) systems, SIP Enable with Vitelity SIP service is the easiest way to increase functionality and take advantage of competitive calling plans.
"We are thrilled to partner on this project to offer customers, with legacy PBX systems, a simple solution for them to benefit from the added functionality and competitive calling plans of SIP," Delin said.
Delin said that on top of this, Vitelity brings additional services such as vFAX and SMS services.
Back in January, Vitelity Communications had announced the launch of International Direct Inward Dialing (DID) numbers to more than 60 countries around the world.
With a Vitelity DID number, businesses or individuals worldwide can now create a virtual local presence in numerous major foreign cities.
Customers can increase their reach by seamlessly doing business in international markets for lower costs with Vitelity’s International DID services. Companies can purchase numerous international DID numbers and connect all calls to a central communication center, whether in the U.S. or anywhere else in the world. All international DID numbers are available for a low monthly flat rate (no minute tracking).
