Issuing its important news this week at CommunicAsia in Singapore, Patton revealed that its renowned VoIP media gateways are now certified for interoperability with Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync having been tested in Microsoft’s Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program for Lync Communications Server.
This certification will ensure that enterprise customers and system integrators are able to select and deploy SmartNode products with SmartNode VoIP equipment that will reliably and seamlessly function with Microsoft’s UC software.
Patton’s (News - Alert) SmartNode equipment delivers VoIP technology that enables carriers and enterprises to deploy VoIP systems quickly with cost-efficiency. The SmartNode gateway routers, as interoperable with Lync-based unified communications, will give organizations the ability to take advantage of a higher-level UC system without going through the bother of replacing existing PBX (News - Alert) systems.
Businesses are able to add telephony features to their communications systems including “voice-and-data survivability and least-cost call routing” with SmartNode, according to Patton. Ideal for small and medium-sized businesses, the SmartNode product line scales from 2 to 2,048 channels.
To find out more about the Lync, SmartNode integration, join Patton on its education webinar titled “Gateway (News - Alert) to Lync” on Wednesday, June 27 at 10 a.m. ET.
Patton’s CEO was recently selected to be present at the signing of the bill reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank of the United States. According to Colleen Lynch for TMCnet, on May 30th the audience of the signing was filled with members of the US Chamber of Commerce, and Robert Patton was asked to be there to offer his perspective as a small-business owner.
