Recently, TelcoBridges (News - Alert) made an exciting announcement for those looking to get telephony service--be it fixed or mobile--or data solutions going out in the Netherlands: Voiceworks, one of the biggest providers of telephony services, is bringing out Tmedia Gateway (News - Alert) systems, produced by TelcoBridges, to give some extra power to Voiceworks customers.
With the use of TelcoBridges' Tmedia Gateway systems, Voiceworks is reportedly the Netherlands' first MVNE to offer complete Fixed Mobile Convergence (News - Alert) for its array of data and communications services. Thanks to the upgrades, it can now offer all the features--and the capability--of a standard phone system, but on the flexible platform of mobile devices.
It was Voiceworks' own popularity that ultimately turned Voiceworks to TelcoBridges' Tmedia Gateway offerings, as Voiceworks was facing a need for significant expansion in a short amount of time. Voiceworks needed a way to bring together several related technologies--VoIP media switching, SIGTRAN / SS7, and TDM--into one central system. With just one redundant Tmedia Gateway, Voiceworks could bring together several separate technologies into one system, making the whole affair easier to work with while still offering high-end service. This also allows Voiceworks to offer up its services at lower costs when compared to more traditional competitors.
The CEO of TelcoBridges, Gaetan Campeau (News - Alert), offered a note of elaboration on the agreement's value for customers, saying, "By delivering the TDM/SIP and SIGTRAN/SS7 gateway functionality without requiring additional third-party equipment, we’re able to reduce acquisition costs, and simplify maintenance requirements for Voiceworks and their customers. Our efforts with Voiceworks have identified a migration path that will open new doors for TelcoBridges in the year ahead, and we’re thankful to Voiceworks for helping us validate the comprehensive capabilities of the Tmedia family."
Basically, Voiceworks is now offering a solution that allows users to better keep up with the constant movement involved in an economy that never really sleeps. Globalization has increased to the point where having a presence in different time zones is a benefit for many firms, and the kind of equipment and systems offered by companies like Voiceworks can help keep that edge sharp. The kinds of savings involved with VoIP and telephony systems can be substantial as well, especially when dealing in a multinational environment. The new offerings posed from Voiceworks should go a long way in helping businesses keep their best face forward in an environment that depends on easy access to connectivity.
