Cantata Technology (News - Alert), a communications technology provider released the latest version of its SnowShore IP Media Server, a software-based, carrier-grade IP media server that leverages the flexibility of SIP, VoiceXML and MSCML.

 

The most recent installment of SnowShore IP Media Server puts forward complete video and voice features that power more efficient messaging, conferencing and video sharing applications over a VoIP network, allowing service providers to quickly deploy new revenue-generating services.

 

SnowShore IP Media Server includes support for video sharing, as well as simultaneous play/record, a brand new feature which allows the media server to record an entire audio conference, while being able to play conference-wide announcements at the same time.

According to the release, H.264 and H.263v3 video codecs are supported with this release, giving customers a choice of video encoding and compression standards.
