Provider of integrated VoIP management software and services for unified communications, Clarus Systems has announced that its signature product, ClarusIPC Plus+, has been certified as a Smart Link Integration (SLI) for HP Network Node Manager i 9.

An out-of-the-box component, Smart Link Integration links the ClarusIPC Plus+ application with HP products, extending the management capabilities for joint customers, according to company officials.

ClarusIPC Plus+ SLI for HP NNMi 9 is an integrated solution. It maximizes Cisco (News - Alert) IP Telephony availability by testing and monitoring end-user calls for problems, including call setup failures, poor voice quality, fraud or incorrect routing.

It any kind of irregularities are encountered, SNMP traps are forwarded to HP Network Node Manager i. Company officials said that this automatically creates actionable incidents that can be evaluated in real time by the designated IT or telecom professional.

This integration is expected to offer users more insight and remote testing and troubleshooting capabilities at their fingertips. In addition, they will be able to monitor the daily Cisco Unified Communications (News - Alert) Manager and Unity systems for add, remove and update configuration changes.

Additionally, the users can perform automated end-user tests, on-demand or schedules as Daily Health Checks, and receive integrated alerts when test fail; cross-launch into the ClarusIPC Plus+ remote phone control application to troubleshoot issues using actual phones.

Plus, they can also cross-launch into the ClarusIPC Plus+ Help Desk application to view phone/line settings, recent call history and compare configurations of “trouble” and “reference” phones, said company officials.

With the help of ClarusIPC Plus+ and HP NNMi 9, enterprise customers can trim costs. Also company officials said that they can maximize their system availability by resourcefully managing their Cisco IP Telephony and Unified Communications systems.

Thanks to the combination of HP Network Node Manager and ClarusIPC Plus+ SLI, IT operations staff can now have visibility of their Cisco IP Telephony and Unified Communications applications as well as automate problems identification and expedite repairs.

Brendan F. Reidy, president and CEO at Clarus Systems (News - Alert), said that the company has been a long-time Gold Enterprise Management Alliance Partner (EMAP), and realize the stringent guidelines to become SLI certified.

“As a result, we build our products with careful attention to engineering. We truly comprehend the powerful customer benefits that result from being part of the strong HP community,” Reidy said.

Reidy said that any down time is costly, and by working in tandem with HP, the company’s goal is to ensure customers have service availability and achieve peak performance no matter what their business is.

Last year in November, Clarus Systems announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC (News - Alert)) named the Clarus Migration Certification Service for Cisco Unified Communications Manager as a recipient of its 2010 Unified Communications Excellence Award.
