Acrosser (News - Alert) Technology, , a networking communication designer and manufacturer, has unveiled its high-end network security platform, the AR-R6102 series built on Intel (News - Alert) C206 Cougar Point platform.

The platform is designed to deliver reliability and productivity by providing new levels of cost effective data protection, performance, expanded security, virtualization and power management options. The AR-R6102 network security appliance supports scalable range of Intel Xeon, Core i, Pentium and Celeron processors.

The AR-R6102 series is ideal for network security applications such as Enterprise Internet Security, VPN, firewall, load balancing, high-end unified threat management, WAN optimisation, network access control, network behavior analysis and service control or content filtering and management for both enterprise and medium-sized offices.

In addition to six onboard Gigabits Ethernet ports, the AR-R6102 series also provides two Network Interface Card (NIC (News - Alert)) slots, which can accommodate up to two 4 ports Gb Ethernet, 4 ports Gb fibre or 2 ports 10 Gb fibre NICs.

The 2U version AR-R6102B has five more disk bays to support the RADI 0/1/5 function and provides the option of redundant power supplies. The ECC memory modules are supported for better reliability when Xeon processor is used.

The AR-R6102 series with high density I/O features is ideal for network appliance needs in today’s IT and server farms.

Highlighting key features of AR-R6102 series network security appliance, company officials said that it supports Intel’s Core i and Xeon processors and supports 4 x ECC/non-ECC DDR3 1066/1333 SO-DIMM slots, Max. 32GB memory.

Back in February, Acrosser Technology had launched AR-R5800A networking platforms based on Intel Core 2 Quad/Duo cores processor. They feature a 1U rack mount chassis, maximum 4GB DDR3 memory, 8 x GbE and 2 x Fiber SFP LAN ports, 2 x LAN bypass, 4 x USB ports, 2 x SATA HDD and console port.

AR-R5800A is a rack mount platform (440x372x44mm), which can be installed in the 19” rack. It carries Intel Core 2 Quad-core or Dual-core or Pentium or Celeron processors to deliver more efficiency, higher processing throughput and improved performance on applications.

AR-R5800A is equipped with maximum 4GB DDR3 memory and 2 x SFP and 8 x LAN ports. System Integrators can select different configurations for their network appliances.
