TeleMate.Net is a software company that specializes in VoIP management and monitoring and Internet security solutions. The company has recently enhanced its TeleMate Unified Call Management software with the intention of providing security information and event management solutions for voice networks.
The new version of TeleMate Unified Call Management solution is designed to integrate with core network technologies to give a centralized, real-time aggregation of communications activities, role-based visualization technologies and tend-based notification and delivery mechanisms.
“Selective and secure, role-based access to voice network data is mission-critical to organization management for many reasons including regulatory compliance, data loss protection and identity management,” said John O’Reilly, president and COO of TeleMate.Net Software, in a statement. “Though these topics are typically used in reference to the Internet, the ability of a single system to provide immediate actionable information to executive and operational management, as well as task-based team leaders is a ‘must have’ today. vSIEM couples this flexibility for voice networks with persistent trending from the handset to the public switching interface. vSIEM provides business users a complete picture of how the network is being utilized.”
Security issues are becoming increasingly important in VoIP communications. As VoIP becomes more popular, PBX manufacturers such as Cisco, Avaya, Siemens (News - Alert) and others are working to implement security controls, although they often leave VoIP services vulnerable to outside threats. The new updates to the TeleMate.net software are designed to address these issues, providing VoIP management and monitoring capabilities that will aid in security and compliance.
